Landscaping and Painted House Photos

Finally, our landscaping and painting pictures posted!! Sorry it has taken me so long. I put some photos on of when Jason and I first bought our home. I couldn't find any of last summer when we made the rock wall around the two front trees, but you can see how much they have grown in two years. All the plants around the trees behind the rock wall were all planted this year, as well as the other two mounds. We painted the house the same color. It was one of the things that I really liked about the house when we bought it. We did however take and leave off the shutters. Do you all like it without them? If we would put them back on, we would paint them the same color as the front door (turtle green). Also we took out the dying bushes in front of our dining room window (between the garage and front door) and planted some plants last summer. Some of them we moved to behind the rock wall as they were getting overcrowded and some were eaten by rabbits, so we put some grasses up there this year with the two bushes we planted last summer. We just need to find a HUGE rock for the side of the driveway mound. It looks so nice and we have gotten so many compliments from our neighbors. And the tree we planted two years ago is already giving us shade!!! It's leaves will turn a beautiful red in the fall. The backyard is a project for another summer. I also added some photos that I forgot to post of Jasons afro. Sarah decided to style it while we were in Garden and it actually gave everyone a good laugh on a mourning weekend. We will see if he continues to let it grow out or if he will soon get annoyed and cut it. You should have seen it today with this high humidity..........looked like I gave him a tight perm.......NO FAIR! It stormed pretty bad here in Mankato this morning. It was 8 am and the sky was black. There were straight winds here, the news reporting up to 80 mph. There are tons of trees down and I am just happy that everything we planted stayed put. I have one nurse at work who had a tree fall onto her home which is for sale, another nurse who was awoken this morning by a tree flying into her bedroom window landing about three feet from where she was lying. Also a neighboring town had a roof blow off of their nursing home (they were in tornado warnings), while the State Health Dept was there............uggghhh, no one was injured as of yet. Thank God! About an hour later it was clear, very humid and the temp got to 90.

Tired Tuesday

Okay, so I wanted to post some photos of our newly painted house and landscaping projects, but I am tired and so I promise I will get them done sometime this week. Not only that Jason finished the last of the mulch to one of the mounds so when he was done it was dark, so I need to take a photo of that mound yet. It looks so nice, a ton times better than when we bought the house two years ago. And we now have trees in our front yard.

Baby news: The coolest thing is happening. I have been feeling the baby move every day now since last Monday, and this is the real thing this time. I didn't feel it Thursday, but it's like Ryleigh was, as soon as I set foot in the car it wouldn't move. Since we were traveling for 13 hours straight and I was exhausted when we got there, I didn't feel it. Tonight, Jason and I were laying in bed and it kicked pretty good, so I thought I would see if I could feel it on the "outside" and I could. So I whispered to Jason, not knowing if he was asleep yet, he whispered back, "what?" I said, "do you want to feel the baby move?" So he gave me his hand, I put it on my tummy. It kicked but I wanted to see if he could feel it and he did...........TWICE. He was so excited, what an exciting moment. It also must be growing quite a bit 'cuz my stomach looks a lot larger than it has, it's like it has grown into a small watermelon over night.

Ryleigh is doing great and talking up a storm. I can't even keep up on her words anymore because she is saying everything and I am not joking............EVERYTHING. The other day she was talking to me and I asked her to repeat herself. Usually I can get what she is saying if she takes her time. She looked at me and plain as day, said "Never mind", Jason said, did she just say never mind. Then she looked at me again and said it again and giggled. It was hilarious. Yesterday she was also going around pointing at things telling me what they were. She would touch the wall and say "wall", then the door, windows, floor. And she loves to talk on the phone, so if you need a good laugh, just give me a call. She was a cuddler this evening and kept touching the "baby" and laying her head on my belly. She is going to be such a good big sister.

We're not in Kansas anymore, Toto!!

We made it home safely today from Kansas. What an emotional and exhausting four days. We got to Garden City about 8:45 pm on Thursday evening after leaving Mankato around 8:00 am. It goes much quicker when you don't have a child with you. We only stopped once to eat and a few times for me to potty. Ryleigh stayed with my parents and had a blast. I have some fun pictures of her there. We talked to her every evening. We didn't make it in time Thursday for the wake and rosary. Friday morning was Jason's grandmas funeral, she looked like a beautiful, peaceful angel. It was a nice ceremony to honor her life. Jason, Sarah and I learned some interesting facts about her family. Their great grandma, Imogene's mom was the second person to be baptized at St Mary's and their family was one of the first 20 families to be a part of the church. Can you imagine living your whole life in one town for all those years? I guess it's hard to imagine because I have lived in so many different towns. It was good to be with family and it was good to hear all the reminiscing about Jason's grandma and other family stories about fishing and cooking and such. Jeremy, Andie, Havyn, Josh, Shea and Josh were much missed but we knew they were there in spirit. Friday was spent with family and there was so much food it could have fed 4 armies. Friday night we hung out late with the Quint boys and Angie, I was the D.D. for Jason and Sarah. It was also great to see Sarah.............thanks so much for that wonderful neck massage!! We are for sure not going to make it to our 10 year reunion now, as the trip was quite long and gas is so expensive, so Saturday night we went out to eat with some friends from high school. It was crazy to see everyone with kids and we had a lot of fun reminiscing. We got up this morning at 5:30 am and hit the road and got to St James around 4:20pm. We took a different route and learned it is much quicker to go through Neb and Iowa then to go through Iowa and MO. 5 states in four days...ughh!! I also wanted to thank my mom, dad, Uncle Ryan, Kelli, Grandma Peggy, Great Grandpa Ralph and Aunt Linda and Uncle Giff for the plants that were sent for the funeral, they were beautiful.

Also wanted to let Jeremy, Andie and Grandma Peggy know that all of Ryleigh's gifts made it here with no problems. She will open them another day as today when we got home, it was off to bed. Ryleigh was in bed by 8:15 and I have gotten two loads of laundry done. So I thought I would type a quick post while the laundry is going.

Happy Birthday Miss Ryleigh Grace

Happy 2nd birthday to our baby girl. This birthday is a little more emotional than last years, even though that was her first one. I am blaming it on pregnancy hormones. I have cried at least 4 times in the past week because my baby is turning 2 and pretty soon she won't be my baby anymore, but she will always be my first baby!! Ryleigh's party will be postponed. They had a little celebration at daycare for her and I will get the pictures on here soon, probably when we get back from Kansas. We are thinking about having a little party for her next weekend at the water park, with a picnic and family. We just have to make sure they can all make it. It should be fun. You will have to wait and see what she all gets. Jason picked out this card for her tonight and we signed it for her, when I read it, I started crying of course. He is the coolest daddy ever.................no wonder she loves him so much. I will end this short and sweet and want to say one more time.............HAPPY BIRTHDAY RYLEIGH!

In Memory of Imogene Quint

As most of you know, and for those who don't, Jason's grandma passed away last evening. We didn't find out til later because we were out working on our landscaping and had our phones inside. But when we were getting ready for bed, we heard Jasons phone ringing and it was his dad to let us know. Jason then, was unable to fall asleep as was I so, we laid on the couch together just holding each other for a while. Jason and I are heading to Kansas tomorrow to be there for the funeral. Ryleigh will be staying at my parents as 15+ hours there and back for only one day of being there is quite a bit on a two year old. She turns 2 tomorrow and we were going to have a little party for her this weekend but that will be postponed until next weekend. Jason's grandma Imogene will be missed greatly. I will always remember how much she loved babies and animals. I found some pictures of her in the past couple of years that I made into a slideshow to honor her.

Zoo Fun!

Despite the overcast and rain, this weekend was very fun and relaxing. We took Ryleigh to The Minnesota Zoo on Saturday morning. We left Mankato so we could get to the zoo right away when it opened. I guess it rained the whole time we were gone, but it was perfect at the zoo. It was cloudy, and we had a little breeze which helped with the humidity we have been having. The humidity has just been awful the past few days, which makes you feel like every time you go outside you need to go take another shower. Anyways, Ryleigh really enjoyed the zoo and we took some pictures. She really liked the tropical part and since it was the first on the agenda, that helped her too. She got a little scared when the diver went in to feed the fish, but then was ok with him after a few minutes. That was really neat because the diver was able to talk with all of us and we could ask him questions. She liked some of the dolphin show, but was getting hungry and tired so she didn't like it as much as I thought she would. It was fun though, and she loves any animal. We got home around 4 and it was very hot, sunny and humid and then 30 minutes later it was pouring rain, again. We spent the rest of the evening inside cleaning because we couldn't really go outside. Today was warm and humid again and we managed to get the rest of our plants and trees. My parents came over because they were past their week of seeing her and were needing their Ryleigh fix. We hung out and then went to the park for a picnic. There is a new petting zoo that they are building in Mankato. Right now it only has a few animals........goats, peacocks, and deer. It is under a lot of construction at this time, but by next summer it should be finished. There will be many more animals, mostly farm animals. So we had our picnic there and Ryleigh had fun feeding the goats and playing at the playground. I guess way back when (not for sure on the dates), there was a zoo in Mankato, located where this park is and there was a very bad fire which killed all of the animals. They never rebuilt the zoo, so this is a good area for the new petting zoo and will be nice for the children in this city. Then we headed to our music class this evening, and had fun dancing and singing.

Thoughts and Prayers

It's been a busy week and I am hitting the sack, since we are going to take Ryleigh to the Minnesota Zoo tomorrow. So, I will make this short and sweet. Ryleigh's been an ornery little girl this week, as usual. She is talking up a storm and repeats anything we say, which is fun, but our friends and some family have been told to watch their mouths. The other day, I spilled some milk on the floor and said "oh crap" and she repeated this for several hours. She has come home every day this week and will name all the friends she has at daycare. She is doing really well with her colors, ABC's and counting. I can't believe she will be 2 on Thursday. (tear, tear) This evening I went shopping at the crazy days sales going on and got some awesome deals at A Children's Place for clothes for next summer for Ryleigh and at this maternity store for some tops for me. It was fun and I got some great deals. There is only one more day left and I didn't get to all the stores I wanted to go to, so if we get back early enough from the zoo, I will probably go back. I also had a lot of fun b/c it has been months since I have gone shopping...................ALONE, too!! Thanks Jason! I did get to hear a funny story too, when I got home. Jason had put Ryleigh to bed and was cleaning up in the kitchen, about 15 minutes later he heard this noise and it was Ryleigh jumping on her bed. She just did it for a few minutes and then was fast asleep......she cracks me up. We got the email from uncle Mike and just hope everyone says a few prayers for Grandma Imogene, Grandpa Ray and the Quint family tonight. Sounds like she is very comfortable, so that is a blessing. She and the family are in our thoughts and prayers. On that note, I will say goodnight.

A Plethora of Fun!

So there's been a lot going on around here so I will try to make it short and sweet. Yesterday, we took Ryleigh to a petting zoo at the North Mankato Fun Days in the morning and as you can see from the pictures she had a good time with all the animals. She is pretty brave for jumping right in there and getting busy feeding the guinea pig and chickens. She was pretty funny to watch with the chickens, they put some feed on the spoon. Whenever the chicken would peck at the spoon she would jump back. It was not easy getting her out of the petting zoo, but we managed without to much of a fight. There was also a car show that Jason and I checked out while we were there and Jason dreamed of getting his 196? Super Sport Chevelle. There was some good oldies music with Elvis being the main man and Ryleigh was so cute out there in the middle of the car show dancing away to Elvis. Sunday we also did a lot of work on the yard with landscaping so when it came down to bed and fireworks, it was definitely bed since Ryleigh had gotten fresh air all day and was quite tired. I don't think we were in the house for maybe a total of an hour the whole day. Ryleigh's music class was also yesterday evening and she had fun playing the drums, ukulele, and singing along to the songs.

Today, at work, the Lancers (a Mankato band making up several high school students from area towns), held a concert for the patients and their families. There were several hundred people that showed up and it was so much fun. The band has been to several competitions all over the country and has won many awards, they were quite awesome to say the least. Jason and Ryleigh came to hang out and listen while I worked. It was a pretty easy two hours getting lemonade handed out, handing out ice cream and making sure the patients weren't getting to hot. I could hear Ryleigh at the end yelling, "more!" and clapping, so I think she enjoyed the band as well as the ice cream afterwards. She and Jason got to see my new office at work and Ryleigh was excited to see her pictures everywhere.

Jason: Has been very busy at work. We're trying to save money for different things and he's debating on spending his hard earned money on a motorcycle or a newer boat. Both would be very fun, and the motorcycle would be a good gas saver. Every day for a few months now, Jason has been carpooling to work and then almost every day, he gets dropped off at Ryleigh's daycare and they walk a 15-20 minute walk back home. It's good exercise for them both and it has been saving us lots of money since we have two gas hogs. He found a very nice motorcycle for sale, so we will see what happens. Yesterday was his lucky day. He went to get groceries while Ryleigh and I were at music class. He was in a daze, he said, and was looking down when a dollar bill rolled right by him from the wind. He went and picked it up, thinking it came out of his pocket when he took the keys out, but when he unraveled it, it was a $100 bill. He looked around to see if anyone was looking for it, but he said there were not very many cars in the parking lot and no one was there, so he's going to save it for his hunting trip to Kansas this fall.

I had my appt today. The baby is doing good. The heart rate is 150 and has a lot of variability, which is a good thing too. It kind of made me a little nervous and I think my Dr. sensed that so he made me feel better by saying that is normal and good. My next ultrasound won't happen until around my 24th week since I had to have one early on in the pregnancy. And wouldn't you know it, just because I can't eat a lot of it............I am craving fish and tuna. I heard the other day: the earlier on in your pregnancy you get an ultrasound, the closer to your due date the baby is likely to be born. This is because earlier on, baby's tend to be on the same path with development, but when you get farther along in the pregnancy, baby's vary with their development from baby to baby and pregnancy to pregnancy and the week could be off. I am curious to see what my next ultrasound will give me for a due date.

One more thing before you check out the slide show. I just have to say GOOOOO Minnesota Twins!!!!!! We had two players make it to the all star game, Justin Morneau and Joe Mauer and Justin won the home run derby!!!!! GO TWINKIES!!!!!!! HAHA just had to add that in there.

All kinds of things.

So, it's been a good weekend so far. Jason and I went to the comedy club to see some stand up comedy last evening. It was a good time and we laughed a lot. About a couple hours into it, I got a text message from Shea, asking if we were ok. We were in the basement of this bar and didn't even realize it was storming outside. They had some storms up in Northfield too, which I was told Ryleigh slept right through. It was a free night out, as we didn't have to pay for a babysitter and Jason's company paid for the entire evening, food, drink and all. We were there with some of his coworkers and his two bosses for the evening. They had paid for it all due to the Indians being in town and all of us taking them out, inviting them to our homes, and showing them a good time while in the U.S. They were, of course, there too! There was one comedian who had some jokes about India and it was so hard trying not to laugh too much! It was hilarious actually. After the show was over, we continued to drink and visit with Jason's coworkers (don't worry, I was drinking lemonade!) Also, the main comedian visited with us, which was pretty cool. I, of course, got to be the designated driver for the evening, which was fine! We didn't get to bed until midnight, several hours after we usually go to bed...............and we slept in a little later than what we were intending, but we must have needed it. I think it is the first time we have slept in for probably about two years now. This morning, we headed to Northfield to hang out with Danny, Terri and Shea and grill out. It was a lot of fun. Ryleigh had a great time with Grandma, Grandpa and Auntie Shea. It was so good to see her as we were really starting to miss her. She is really a daddy's girl, running right to him when we got there and only giving me about two minutes for a hug and kiss, and then right back into Jason's arms she went. They took lots of photos, so I am hoping somehow I can get copies of them, because they really turned out great. I love all of the pictures by their pond, it's such a great and beautiful photo scene. Oh, and that little turkey, apparently slept until 8:30 on Fri am and 9:40 on Sat morning. She does that when she spends the night at my parents too. She never sleeps that late here at home!!! NOT FAIR!! Ryleigh slept the entire way home which took us a few extra minutes because we hit two detours.........road construction. We went landscaping shopping this evening and after Ryleigh went to bed, Jason and I planted a bunch of stuff in the yard. We still have a few plants to plant tomorrow, but so far it's looking really nice. And while we were outside we got many compliments on our house and yard from a few neighbors.



Well, I have a picture here of me this week. I am 16 weeks along now (the end of the 4th month). I have my next appt on Monday and will set up my next ultrasound. I am so excited for Jason and I to get to see the baby moving around in there. The baby is really growing now. I felt a little flutter today and think it might be the baby moving. It felt like a little butterfly, the feeling you get right before you run a race. It is much earlier than with Ryleigh but I think only because now I know what I am feeling where with her, I wasn't as for sure. Who knows, we will see if I feel it anymore in the next few days. This week with the baby, per my Mayo clinic book, it's skeletal system and nervous system are making enough connections for limb and body movements. The baby's eyes are also sensitive to light. It is ranging in length from about 4-5 inches and is weighing in around 3 ounces.











Tomorrow we have a fun day planned. North Mankato is having it's annual Fun Days. We are taking Ryleigh to a petting zoo and there are fireworks again in the evening, which we might take her to since she enjoyed the ones so much on the 4th of July. We are also planning on finishing the planting of our bushes and plants we bought for the yard. I will have to post some pictures so you can all see all that we have been doing to this house. Hope you are all having a good weekend, oh and Shea, the new necklace hooky thing works perfect, it's awesome, now I just need to figure out which wall I want to hang it on!! Thank you. Thank you also to Danny and Terri for taking care of Ryleigh these past two evenings, I can tell she had a wonderful time.

Off to Grandpa Danny and Grandma Terri's!!

It's been a fun week here in the Quint household. I start call for a week today, which means I am on call for work 24 hours a day for 7 days. Usually the nurses are awesome about holding down the fort, so we will see if I get any phone calls or pages. It's been a very busy work week again and I am looking forward to it being over. The state dept is gone from auditing our charts/paperwork, now our window for the state health dept to show up starts Aug. 1st. I usually like surprises..............but not when they come!! But its all a part of health care and these patients do really deserve the best care, so I suppose it's necessary! I forgot to mention my thoughts behind Ryleigh's not so fun Saturday. We found another two-year molar broke through. So now she has all of her teeth but the last two-year molar.........which feels like it's about to bust through! I feel bad for these babies/toddlers and getting their teeth. I remember getting my wisdom teeth in when I was pregnant with Ryleigh and then right after I had her one got infected. It was one of the most painful things I'd ever experienced and my doctor said..........this is what it feels like when babies get their teeth. Poor things. Ryleigh had her music class again this last Tuesday evening. It was a lot of fun and she is starting to do things that we do in class, at home. Her next class is Sunday evening. She has been swimming every day this week as well. Tonight we met with Grandpa Danny and Grandma Terri for supper at The Bears Den in Elysian (a half way point, kind of). Ryleigh then went with them to spend the night there. We don't have daycare tomorrow, but we both have to work, and I am trying to save my vacation days for when the baby comes, so they were excited to take her home. She will also spend Friday evening there as well. Jason and I have a little date, I guess you could call it. We are going out for supper and going to a comedy club show. It sounds like fun and I think we could both use a few laughs. Then we will head up to Northfield on Sat to B-B-Q with the fam. Sounds like Ryleigh has a day already planned with Grandma Terri and Aunt Shea tomorrow. I can't wait to hear how it goes. Ryleigh was so cute this evening. I think she thought she was coming home with us and was saying goodbye grandpa, goodbye grandma when I told her she was going to go home with them. She looked at me with the most happy face, said ahhh and started running to them, she was so excited. She couldn't wait to get into her car seat, which she was trying to get in while we were getting it all in place. Then she kept saying goodbye to us. It was a good thing and made all four of us feel good. So we are childless right now, even though she would normally be in bed at this time, it just seems quieter without her here. I added some pictures of Ryleigh posing by these rocks and water fall type thing. The wind came up as you can see in the pictures and her expression is priceless as is her hair. The last picture is of Ryleigh and Colin, a toddler two months older than her from daycare. They get along like brother and sister. One minute hugging, the next minute wrestling and fighting. Aren't they adorable.

Camping-Ponca NE 2008!

Finally, the pictures to our camping trip. Ryleigh and my cousins daughter Payton sure did have a good time and that was nice and fun for the both of them. Check out our hay rack ride....starts off beautiful, ends rainy. On don't forget to check out that huge wolf spider........aaaagggghhhhh. Hope everyone has a great week.

Saying Goodbye to Uncle Ryan.

I wanted to post a special blog for my brother Ryan. Not only did we say goodbye to him so he could go back to Connecticut, but we said goodbye to him also because we are not sure when we will see him in the next two and a half years. Very soon he will be heading off to sea and he can't tell us when he will be leaving or for how long (we only get 24 hours notice). The last time he was out to sea they told him it could be many months and it ended up being just a few, so hopefully this time it turns out the same, especially for Kelli. But he also said it could be up to when he is done with the Navy, which isn't until December of 2010. He isn't going to re-enlist this time. I think he is ready to settle down and have a family, which he has said over and over that he will not do that while he is in the military, so lucky for us, he found his girl..............and she's from Wisconsin, which is nice and close. It will be nice someday to have my family all around one area and close to each other. This spread out crap really sucks (with both our families)!!!!! Anyways, it was great to see him for a couple of weeks and I know he, dad and Jason got in some good games of golf!!! We did miss Kelli though! Mom, Dad, Jason, Ryleigh and I drove him to the airport last Sunday and it was pretty hard on mom, as it always is, but this time especially since she might not get to see him for 2 1/2 years. She did good and cried a little after he walked away, in the car. Which is good for him not to see and better than how she was all those years ago when this first started. We did eat at Famous Dave's for lunch before we brought him to the airport as this is one of his most favorite places to eat and they don't have one in CT, over seas, or in the submarines in the ocean! Ryleigh just loves her Uncle Ryan and and actually ran up to him a few times in Ponca and at our house and kept giving him big hugs, so tha made him feel good. He got her an early birthday gift, it would have been difficult to mail it. She actually went crazy when she saw it and it was the best she's ever reacted to a gift, I loved it. Ryan, if you read this before you go, we love you and had a great time with you. Take care and hope to see you soon.

Happy Birthday Miss Shea Malon!!!!

Just want to say Happy Birthday to Shea. Thanks for being a great "sister" and friend. Ryleigh is lucky to have you for a Godmother! I found some photos back when Ryleigh was brand new with Shea and thought I would post them for her birthday! I hope you had a great weekend. This weekend was a very fun and relaxing weekend. Saturday we didn't do much, except Jason finished the touch ups to the house he needed to make and I cleaned the kitchen! We only need to paint the front door and we are completely done. We are still debating on whether or not we should put the shutters back up. Ryleigh was so cute on Saturday morning. She ran to the back door yelling "FIRECRACKERS!" repeatedly. She remembered watching the fireworks show and wanted to see more. I had to explain and I am not sure if she understood that they only happen once a year and at night. She said "OK" and walked away, so I think she knew that they were all done. I don't think she was feeling to well, maybe a headache, because she was kind of ornery and cranky on Sat, but she had a great day today. We grilled out all weekend and had two brats left over at lunch time. We decided to cut them up and put them on a homemade pizza and boy was it tasty. Ryleigh even ate a piece of pizza all by herself. Ryleigh must be going through a growth spurt again because she is eating quite a bit and has been sleeping more than her usual. Today she took two naps. When she woke up from the second one we took her to Hiniker pond. She had lots of fun. We were teaching her how to kick her feet and swim. She actually got herself from Jason to me kicking her feet in her inter tube. At one point she started running out into the pond, so Jason had to go after her. She got water up to her neck and was looking around luck, "ugh oh", but Jason was right there with her. I took a lot of photos, as always, and put them in a slide show for all to see. Happy 4th of July

Well, it's a little after 11:00 pm and I am getting ready to head to bed. Hope everyone had a good and safe 4th of July. We took Ryleigh to her first parade and she enjoyed it, especially the candy, horses and firetrucks. Jason and I were talking about how we hadn't been to a parade ourselves in over 15 years. The parade took place in St. Peter, MN.....just 10 miles from Mankato. We got there just in time for it to start and headed home before it was over. Ryleigh got enough candy and we were almost there for two hours and she was starting to get bored and hungry so we decided to head home. We ate lunch quick and then headed off to hang out at the lake with our friends. Our friends parents have a cabin on Lake Francis in Elysian, MN and so we took the boat there and then mostly hung out at the cabin all day. Ryleigh took a nap on the way there. She didn't want to get in the water at first but once the boats were gone she wanted to get right in. I didn't get any pictures because Jason took Josh out skiing and so Ryleigh ran for the water and I didn't have enough time to go get the camera. But I got some other shots of her outside of the water. It was a beautiful day to be out on the lake. We headed back into Mankato around 6 pm. The Indians are in town from India and they wanted to see the way we celebrated the fourth, and since we didn't have anything planned as of a week ago, Jason invited them over for supper and to watch the fireworks show. You can see the fireworks show that they do here in Mankato perfect off our deck. Ryleigh had fallen asleep on the way back from the lake and slept on the couch once we got home while we cooked, so since she had these two little naps we thought we would let her stay up and see the fireworks. Jason tried his hand at an Indian meal with lamb and some curry spices as well as some sauteed veggies and some different kind of rice. It was fantastic and one of the guys ate two helpings, so we think they liked it like they said they did. Ryleigh was a little fearful of them at first, but ended up sitting on one of their laps for the fireworks show. I think they enjoyed it, and Ryleigh really liked it, but boy was she tired. Jason brought her to bed right away when the fireworks were over and she was already almost asleep by the time he got to the top of the stairs. It was a long, but fun day for us all. Oh and I found that song that I posted on the sidebar, so I put it with my slideshow so you could all hear it.
