Being happy doesn't mean everything is perfect. It means you've decided to see beyond the imperfections.

Miss Reese - 18 months!

Miss Reese turned 18 months old this week. I can't believe the time has passed so quickly. She is an amazing child with a wild spirit. Energetic, lovable, naughty, perfect, beautiful, way to smart for her own good...........our baby!! I can't even begin to tell you what life has been like with her since she started walking in April. Never a boring moment, that is for sure. But, wouldn't change a thing, LOVE her to pieces!! Here is the gist of her busyness from this summer. The girl has eaten mud and thrown it up, eaten zest soap and thrown it up, eaten sand, drank any form of liquid (even if it's brown muddy water/lake water, you name it), eaten hot pink (non toxic) chalk and pooped pink for 2 days straight. She's played in toilets that the older two forgot to flush (and since they wipe, I've caught her squeezing out the pee soaked TP). She's drank and spit out chew from a Dr. Pepper can that was on a patio at a resort we were staying at. And, I know this all sounds bad, but she's a quick bugger. I sprinted when I saw she was going for the can of spit but by the time I got there, she had taken a sip and spit it down her dress. That was the first time, while cleaning her up, that I was dry heaving because it was so nasty. I've called poison control. Let's just say, she keeps Jason and I on our toes and we seriously don't stop running until she is in her crib. I'm so tired as I've been at a training this week, but I think there are things I am forgetting that she has eaten (and thrown up). Usually I have Jason saying, "don't forget about that time....."  She does anything her two older sisters are doing, which can be scary as well. She is though, our most affectionate child. She snuggles, hugs, kisses, loves.........it makes up for all the above stuff!!! For the first time in her little life, she got sick last week with croup. They talked about putting her in the hospital, but I told them we could do it at home. Thank goodness we had cool weather most nights as that is the best medicine for the cough. And, we forced fluids and had lots of popsicles! Boy was her breathing scary though. It's hard to watch your child struggle to breath and hard when they have a fever that doesn't break. But, she's on the mend and getting back into trouble. And, I should have known she would be the most demanding sick baby I've ever seen or taken care of. Picky about how she was held, who she was held by, if she wasn't being held. I could go on about that, but instead I will post these gorgeous pictures of OUR BABY!!

Starting off September with a Bang!

GO BIG RED!! This labor day weekend has been pretty relaxing. My aunts, Tami and Sandy, uncles, Tom and Darren and cousins, Lauren and Allison came up and are staying at my parents house. So, we went and hung out with them yesterday and watched the Huskers win!! We finally got the pool completely cleaned and put away, Jason started some fall projects. Never boring around here. I found some cute photos from last month and some more fun with friends that I forgot to post on that entry, but after this, I think I am all caught up with pictures and posts on our summer! I guess I do have some pictures of Reese and an entry on that little turkey all by herself, but I will do that another evening!!

Fun with friends that I missed but are so cute!

Crazy, beautiful girl:

Enjoy and I will be back soon!! :)
