Errands
Anyone ever seen that show on TLC, Jon and Kate plus 8? I love that show and I think the reason why is because I love how so not perfect they are. Well, the other evening, Jason and I were watching it and I about cracked up when they said one of them will go run errands and take some of the kids with them. It reminded me of Ryleigh because she LOVES to run "errans" with us, especially her daddy. Which brings me to the title of my blog. This week all I have done is run errands! But, I think I am all ready to head to Neb. Tomorrow, I have to run one more and that is to run a baby gift off for a friend who's baby shower is tomorrow evening. I have been to Target and Walmart on more than one occasion. I got the oil changed, the car full of gas (which was cheap compared to a few months ago......went from almost $90 to $40 to fill it!), the windshield wiper fluid filled............found my white elephant gifts, got the gifts for the kids name drawing, found an outfit for my cousins baby, Ella, found letters for Landrees name for her room and ink for her foot and hand prints, got myself a new shirt with xmas money, visited and picked up a gift at work, got some good deals on baby clothes at old navy, got the house picked up, found a sitter for Remy (Jason did this with the help of my nagging), and got us all packed this evening. Phew!! I got some good photos to post of the girls but you will have to wait for those and even some with Landree smiling. I just love it when she smiles at us, it's awesome! Well, I am going to go hit the hay and get some rest before we hit the road tomorrow!

Happy Birthday Gramma Terri!

Just wanted to say Happy Birthday to you Terri! We love you & hope your day is special just like you are! We are glad we got to hang out with you on Sun and celebrate with eating out! It was fun!
Not too much going on here! I was emailed I had a baby gift awaiting at work, so we took a trip there this morning and everyone got to see and hold Landree again! Now, I am waiting for the appraiser to get here, as Jason and I have refinanced our house due to the low interest rates at this time! We have a lot to do this week as we are heading to Neb this Friday! I am so excited to see family, my grandparents and eat wonderful food. We are heading out Friday around noon and will be back Sunday. I just realized we need to find a place for Remy to stay. I also need to find two white elephant gifts laying around. And I have everything else we need for the trip, I just need to pack. I already have a list of things to do before Friday. I wish it were as warm as it is where you are
Andie, so I could take the girls for a walk. I wish I had an area to work out in the house as well, I think I am going to start my exercising program next Monday when we get back from pigging out all weekend. My goal is to be toned for my brother's wedding on July 4th! I think in addition to doing the fun things like sit ups, push ups, etc, I will go to the mall and do my "walking" there with the stroller. I don't really want to take Landree out in this below freezing weather. I am excited for warm weather though, because for Christmas from my parents, I got one of those bicycle carriers for the girls and I think it would be fun to do that in the evenings when Jason and I get off of work. I had been looking for one of those and a jogging stroller at garage sales last summer, but didn't find any worth buying.

Bottles, smiles, dresses, coos, foot/hand prints & sleep!

Weekend recap: Well, it was another cold one here in the great state of MN! I think the high for Sat. was only 4 degrees. Mom and I took the girls up to Davids Bridal and I think the guys were nervous for us especially since we were taking the girls, but all went well. Mom and I even got there and didn't panic when the exit we were supposed to take was closed. Fortunately, when I saw Davids Bridal on the freeway, it was right next to Babies-R-Us and since I had been there before I knew how to get there. And, one time when Jason and I went to babies-r-us we missed our exit and so when mom and I took our 2nd option of getting there, it was familiar to me because it was how Jason and I got there. The bridesmaid dress that we are wearing is absolutely beautiful. Of course, Ryleigh was being ornery and the place was PACKED, so mom and I forgot to take pictures. In fact we got there at 10:15 (store opened at 10) and we barely got a fitting room. I didn't know you had to make appts at that place for the weekend, so we were pretty lucky. We were unfortunately not able to get Ryleigh in any dresses as they gave us a waiting time of approx an hour before another fitting room was available. My dress should be in around the first week of March, so maybe then we can go back and have her try on dresses. The ladies in the next fitting room weren't too excited to be next to me once they realized my baby was only one month old. I was kind of embarrassed. It was fun to spend the morning and afternoon with mom away from the house.........good to get out! We had quite an exciting moment on the freeway on the way home. Thank goodness I am a good driver (HAHA) I was in the 3rd lane of the four lanes when in a matter of seconds we went form 70 to zero. We had seen this U Haul truck swerving, but it almost looked like he was going to exit and then came back on like he needed the next exit. Traffic in both lanes next to me were going so fast and all I could think was, please nobody ram into the back of me or the cars behind me. Finally, the fourth lane cleared and about 4 cars, one in front of me and two behind me all got into that lane. Well, right there in the middle of the lane was this huge box. Then about 1/2 mile ahead of us was this truck and trailer with the same box laying on the shoulder and one on the trailer, so we figured he was the cause of the crazy traffic. Ryleigh's books on her lap had gone flying, so about a few miles down the road, she asked for them, it was pretty funny. Well, even though we had moms AAA card and extra blankets and gloves packed for us, we made it home safely!!!!! And thank God, Ryleigh has learned how to hold her pee. Right when I got on the freeway and passed an exit with gas stations, she tells me she has to pee. She held it though until we made it to the next exit with a gas station.
Landree has been smiling up a storm. She has smiled for me, Jason, Ryleigh, my mom and
yesterday for Terri. And is she ever starting to "talk" and coo! I still have been unable to get the smile captured on film and I am not quite sure if the smiles are for us exactly, but they happen when we are talking and looking at her. We tried getting her hand and foot prints yesterday, we got some good ones of her feet, but I am going to wait until she is asleep for the hands as she clenches her fists when I try to do anything with her hands. She had a fussy evening on Sat, but has been perfect since then. She has been sleeping good at night, too. Spoiling us compared to Ryleigh! Saturday night into Sunday morning, she slept 7 1/2 hours straight, I even finally woke her up to eat. Last night she slept 6 1/2 hours straight. And lately she has only been getting up once to eat during the night. She doesn't even hardly cry at night either, it's just these little restless whimpers and then I know she's ready to eat. Really, the most she has ever woke up to eat at night has been twice and that was when we first brought her home. If I remember right Ryleigh was up about every two hours chomping away during the night at this age. We introduced the bottle to her last week. Landree didn't like any of the nipples I had from Ryleigh, so I went and searched the stores last week and finally found one that she is eating from. She has taken the bottle from Jason, Ryleigh and the place where she will be going for daycare when I go back to work. I did that b/c when I took Ryleigh there at first, she refused to take a bottle from the lady and she started using formula, which I DIDN'T want. So, being as determined as I am, we came up with a plan to use 1/2 formula, 1/2 breast milk and then slowly incr
ease it until it was 100% breast milk. It worked and within a week, Ryleigh was taking my milk from her. This time, I wanted to be prepared b/c I don't want to do the formula thing again, and so I thought if Landree took a bottle of my milk from her with me present maybe she would get used to taking my milk from her. Well, I don't think Landree is going to be as picky as Ryleigh b/c she did just fine! Ryleigh was proud as a peacock to get to feed Landree, and I posted some pictures of that.

Landree is very noisy eater and makes this kind of clicking noise while eating sometimes, mostly at the beginning of her feeding. She usually only eats on one side, too, which makes me nervous about if she is getting enough. She looks plump and seems satisfied so that is good. And when I pump on the side she doesn't eat on, I usually get anywheres from 3-5 oz of milk, so I am assuming that is what she is getting and that is enough for her right now. I had my post partum appt. this morning and since I was there, I asked if she could be weighed. Just for my peace of mind, I wanted to make sure she is getting enough. Yeah, she's getting enough!!! She weighed in at a whopping 10 lbs, 5oz.................gaining two pounds in the last 2 weeks!! Almost forgot to mention, Papa Danny and Gramma Terri visited yesterday and we went out to eat for Terri's birthday. And......they finally got to open their long awaited Christmas gifts. Also, Ryleigh got to talk to Nana Peggy. If you go to her blog site you can read about the "tars in the kye"! HAHA. Oh, Ryleigh loves her glow in the dark stars on her ceiling, too. After her bath last evening, we just laid on her bed and looked up as she giggled. She thought she was pretty special. I told Jason, I want to sleep in her room, and after I woke him up the night before, he said that would be just fine :) There are tons of them and it looks really cool. (I found the stars I had on my ceiling when I was in middle and H.S and they still light up, so we used those, too). Hope everyone has a great week...........I am going to go feed mine and Landree's faces!!!

We're having a heat wave!!
...............a tropical heat wave! It has been around 30 degrees every day this week, and while this may sound cold to most of you reading, it has actually felt quite good. And, with the sun shining, the cabin fever doesn't seem so bad! Some people, including Jason, are not wearing their winter gear at times because it feels so warm, just wait til it's 50* out.............some Minnesotans will be out in their shorts and t-shirts!! It's all going to change tonight, though (at least for a few days and then it's supposed to warm up again). It's supposed to get to 10 degrees tonight, the wind is supposed to pick up and the high for tomorrow is only 10 degrees. I did make it out this afternoon to WalMart with both of the girls and it didn't go badly like I was expecting at all. In fact, it went great. Ryleigh listened very well but I had to bribe her by saying if she was good, I would get her some M&M's at the checkout. Well, she was perfect...........and well, Landree slept the entire time. Mom and I are heading up to the cities to Davids Bridal on Saturday to try on a bridesmaid dress. We were going to go last Saturday but it was snowing and blowing, so we decided to be safe and stay home..........BUMMER for me. Then Sunday the plan is to go visit Danny and Terri. I am excited to see thier kitchen as they have been remodeling it. Well, I should get going. Ryleigh wants to play dollhouse, play-do and duck.............gotta go and spend some time with her while Landree is sleeping!!

Out of the Mouths of Babes!

Finally, a post dedicated to Miss Ryleigh Grace! I finally found my little "journal" of things I've been writing down that Ryleigh says that just has been cracking us up. The things that have been coming out of her mouth are hysterical especially how she says them, so I will do my best to describe them the way we have heard her say them. I also have a video at the bottom of her singing "You are my sunshine!" She actually sings ALL the time, and songs I didn't even know she knew. It makes sense though, since they are songs
that I sing all the time. She, too, will sing verses of songs that she hears on TV or the radio. She has been little miss sassy pants lately, as you will see with some of her one-liners! Ryleigh helped me make mashed potatoes on Saturday and it was amazing how well she ate them and then on Sunday she helped me make cookies. She loves to stir the food and hold onto the mixer. Jason and I have a big whirlpool tub in our bathroom and the last few weeks, Ryleigh has wanted to take a bath in "the big tub". She will actually lay in it and pretend she is swimming. Landree and I were in the kitchen last evening and when I came into the living room to see what Jason and Ryleigh were up to, this picture is how I found them watching Kung Fu Panda. I asked Jason if he put her up there and he said no, she just crawled up there. I had to get a picture because it was so cute how she is laying on top of the couch and he is kind of using her as a pillow and they are watchin
g a movie. So here are the funny things that have come out of Ryleigh's mouth:

g a movie. So here are the funny things that have come out of Ryleigh's mouth:1) "Whatever!"
2) "UGGGHHH!"
3) She has very good manners when she wants something really badly..."please", "thank you", "bless you", "scuse me"(..................after she says, "I farted" or "I burped"), "scuse you" and "I'm sorry"( she says this one quite a bit lately).
4) "What the heck"
5) "Daddy, turn off the light NOW (pause)...................Please!"
6) "Oh my gosh/goodness"
7) If Landree is crying..."Mommy, sing the Sunday, Monday song to her!"
8) When learning about baby Jesus and asking her what gifts the three wise men brought to baby Jesus........."Gode", "Frackensense", "Myr"
9) She received a doll house with furnishings for Christmas, "Play with me the dollhouse!", "Where's the pink/blue baby?"
10) When telling my parents good bye after we told her they were going to leave in a little bit, "Put on your shoes, Papa Kev!" (almost kicking them out)
11) In regards to Landree........"Let me hold her!" ( she says this one ALL the time)
12) When wanting to go to the bathroom by herself, "Close the door, I will do it myself", "I can wipe myself"!
13) When looking out the window at her and Jasons "prized" snowman a few days after they made it and it had melted some, "What happened to snow mans eyes?"
14) When talking about the fake tatoo on her arm she called it a "TOOTAH"!
15) Instead of saying upside down..................."Downside up"
16) When telling her how good she is.........."I need to show Landree how to be a big girl!"
17) To Jason............."I'm not a spasmatica!!"
18) Sings...."I like to move it, move it!", "Hey mama, move your bootie mama!"
19) "UUUUUUMMMMMMM................no/ok/yes!"
20) "Delicious"
21) After making cookies with me, she was eating hers and maybe had a bite left, Jason grabbed a cookie and sat down next to her and she held out what was left of her cookie and said, "Trade cookies?"
22) "You're so pretty mommy!" (I've noticed she says this a lot when she wants something, she will tell me how pretty I am.....................and it usually works ;)
23) "Here me are!" instead of here I am. Which puts Jason and I into song mode..........."her me are, Lord......is it me Lord?"
24) After throwing food all over the bathroom floor and I must have raised my voice, so Jason said "Heather" and Ryleigh said......"Heder, don't be mad at me, okay mommy?"
25) Ryleigh always wants to hold Landree when Jason is (I think she is a little jealous of daddy). Well on Sunday she threw a fit because Jason was holding her and wouldn't let Ryleigh hold her. After Ryleigh was done throwing her fit, she stood at Jason's feet, shrugged her shoulders and said, "I'm sorry daddy, I just wanted to hold her!"
26) "I'm shaking my bootie!"...........as she's dancing!
And the best for last..........
"IS she eating your boobie?", in which I reply, "no she is drinking milk!" I get this puzzled look like....I thought milk came from cows, in which I have to explain that Ryleigh drinks cows milk, but mommy makes milk for Landree and that when she was a baby, I made milk for her, too. "Oh", she says, "Can I have some mommy's milk?" I give her a little in a cup and she says...."mmmmmm", when I ask her if she wants more she gives me this funny look and says, "no!"............"I want cows milk!"........."chocky, please" (Chocky is what she calls chocolate milk)!!
And those are the funny things she has been saying and has said in the past few weeks/months/days! She has been doing some funny things also. I have tried and will continue to try and get her to do some push ups for you all, it is sooooo cute. She also just learned how to wink. She has been trying that out for about a month and just mastered it yesterday, it's adorable. She also loves to give "knuckle love" or "knucks"! There are so many other things she's doing as well, but it's hard to keep up!

4 weeks today!

I can't believe it has been 4 weeks already. Seems like just yesterday we brought Landree home from the hospital. She is doing well. She is becoming much more alert and seems to have a pretty good schedule of eating and sleeping. She loves her baths, which are not very often due to the cold, dry
weather of old man winter. She lost a little patch of hair on her head right over her left temple. It looks sort of silly, like we just shaved it off or something and it's really dry, it's also really smooth. And I swear she smiled at us twice today, once for Ryleigh and I almost got a picture, however the red "ready" light on the camera scared her, so I didn't get any pictures! She seems to me like she's getting bigger and bigger (heavier)!!! I will post some pictures on here with this post of her today once I get to it! Hope everyone has a great week. Has anyone ever heard of the
milk mumu?? If not, I highly recommend it. I just got one for a gift and it is the coolest thing ever for breastfeeding mommy's! I am kind of bummed too, we just learned that the crib we had for Ryleigh and were going to use for Landree had been recalled in June for strangulation hazard (thank God Ryleigh did okay in it). I was looking forward in the next week to get Landree in the crib and out of our room, however looks like we will need to get a new crib now. We will be able to use it yet for the foot board and headboard but we will get a refund which will help us to buy a new crib. Stinks, but better safe than sorry. In this last picture, she is gazing over at the TV, watching the news with me, something must have caught her attention.

NEWBORN PICTURES!!!
I did do a previous post this evening, but I also just checked out my friends website and she has Landrees newborn photos up!! Under friends and family it's the first one and it's called Volovsek studio right here on my blog page. Check them out............they turned out awesome!! Thanks so much Ana...they are great. You really should become a professional!!! Also, thanks for being Landree's Godparents. WE LOVE YOU GUYS!!
FREEZING!!!!!!!!
I have been cold since I have come home from the hospital so I don't really notice when it's colder than my
usual cold. Last evening when Jason got home from work, he finally thought it was cold in the house. I said I didn't feel any colder than I have been feeling, but the girls and I also were parked in the living room in front of the fireplace all afternoon, in fact that is where I have been spending most of my time every day because it's the only place I feel warm, other than on top of my heating pad when in bed. Well, the temperature was colder than what Jason has the furnace set on, so when he went to start the furnace and it didn't turn on, we thought it was going to be a night of the four of us sleeping in the living room in front of the fireplace. Luckily and unfortunately for a cost (after hours), our "heating" people are available 24/7. So, we had them
here for about 2 hours trying to get our heat back on. And.........wouldn't you know it, it's like one of the coldest days of the year. (I just don't see how there is any global warming going on ;) So, what happened was the snow drifted over the exhaust vent, which trapped the air and caused the furnace to overheat blowing a fuse, which had to be replaced (the fuse is enclosed, so we were unable to do it). Now, we are making sure the furnace is "breathing" every day. Can you believe it's been colder here in MN than it has been in Alaska?? CRAZY. (Were looking for jobs in CA) HAHA J/K! The house is once again "warm" according to the two heaters.....Jason and Ryleigh!! I on the other hand am still chilled. Remind me, if there is a next time
.....to have babies in different months other than Dec, Jan and Feb!! It was so cold today, the temp was -5, the windchill was like -20, so I have been staying inside. I desperately am awaiting nice enough weather to just leave the house. I need someone to come visit me during the day, but all my friends work & my mom is in Neb. I did talk to my neighbor tonight. She invited me over to her house a few mornings as well as out to Panera Bread next Wed. That should be nice and I am going to go hang out at the mall a few times......I don't like being cooped up like this. Enough about me. Jason is doing good, him and a friend are working on the basement. It is looking really nice, almost ready for
sheet rock. He has been talking about starting to work out again to get in shape for my brother's wedding in July. I need to start, too. Ryleigh is doing great. She is talking up a storm. I still want to dedicate a blog to her alone, but I lost the journal I was keeping on her and it has some great stuff in it, so as soon as I find it, I will. She is an awesome big sister and helper. Loves to get me diapers, throw them away, loves to hold Landree and kiss her...................and get in her face, which I don't think Landree is to fond of. They are adorable, I love them SO much! Wants to feed her, however she will have to wait a few more weeks for that!! I am a milk making machine. I have about 35 bags stored in the freezer now. Anyhow, Landree is doing well! She's getting huge........finally fitting into an outfit that was huge when we brought her home. It's am
azing how fast they grow. She is holding her head up every chance she gets. Tonight she held it up for about 2 minutes while doing tummy time. Her collar bone doesn't seem to be bothering her at all, even when we dress and bathe her. Other than that update, my Grandma went to the nursing home today. All went well and she actually did okay......my mom thinks she was just happy to get out of the hospital. I can't wait to see her when we go to Neb here on the 31st! I'm also excited that this next Saturday, mom and I and the girls are going to head up to the cities to try on
a bridesmaid dress, I think there is some deal this month about getting them on sale, so we are trying to do it before the month is over....maybe mom will find a dress, too! The top picture is last evening when the furnace was out..........Ryleigh, under a blanket?? Yep...you don't see that very often. Do you like the one of Ryleigh in the air, can you hear her saying, "MORE!!!" Look how "static-y" her hair is...another reason to "LOVE" winter. She begs Jason to do this daily. And last, but not least, Landree holding her head up....you go girl!!

Saturday Swimmers!

So, today started off with me getting up around 10 am because Landree decid
ed she wanted to be awake from 3 am to 6 am! Wide eyed and bushy tailed........ anyhow, I had a message on my phone to see if me and the girls wanted to go swimming today with a couple of my friends and their kids. I decided to do it as I have been in the house quite a bit and I thought it would be fun for both Ryleigh and myself. After Ryleigh woke up from her nap we headed out the door and met our friends to go swimming. Ryleigh is a little fish............she LOVES the water. I knew she did but every time we were going to go swimming last summer our plans got ruined, so this was one of the first times I got to take her swimming this year. The kid has no fear. It was a lot of fun and Ryleigh had fun showing off her baby sister. My friends daughter fell off of a chair and hit her lip pretty hard, but she is doing good this evening, and that was really the only drama of the few hours we were there. Ryleigh had fun telling her daddy all about it when we got home and showing him how Abby hit her lip. The really nice thing too, was not having to worry about those soggy swimming pants. Ryleigh went in her plain swimsuit and told me every time sh
e had to go potty. The pool that we went to was having there last free Saturday swimming. It is huge and has a zero depth entry pool that goes to about 2 feet. There is a slide for the 0 depth entry pool and then there was a huge slide for the big pool too. Very nice and clean. In fact, I will keep it in mind for future birthday parties for Landree in the dead of winter. She did well too, slept the entire time we were there. Then my parents were in town this evening and stopped by to get there Ryleigh/Landree fix. They are heading to Nebraska on Tuesday as my Grandma will be going to the nursing home on Wednesday. Speaking of Nebraska, I just want to give a shout out to all those that read the blog from Nebraska. I am glad you all are reading and get to see pictures of the girls. We miss you and will see you VERY soon :) I called and spoke with my Gramps th
e other evening. He sounded pretty good and was trying to keep his spirits up while I was chatting with him.....poor thing. This week is going to be a tough one for him and his kids, so I am going to start praying and asking for prayers beginning today. Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

What's In A Name?

I have been emailing Andie back and forth regarding some thing you will all get in the mail shortly from the both of us and she asked me what my boy name was going to be and since I will never use it even if we have any more children, I will tell you all what it was. First, I just want to say that one of the hardest things is to name your baby. You want the name to be perfect, special, sometimes unique, and you want them to someday appreciate their name considering how hard it is to name them. Sometimes, when they come out, they just don't look like the name you picked at all and you have to go to your other choices. I was telling Andie that it's good that we went with our first choice because our next choice for a girl was either Emma or Emily, and that is kind of close to Emeryn. But, our boy name was going to be Landon and we had that picked since we were pregnant with Ryleigh (so, with both girls if they would have been a boy it would have been Landon). Well, we won't be using Landon in the future since Landree is pretty close to it. And we had trouble deciding on using Landree because we liked Landon so much. We then thought well, some of the names we had for a girl the first time were not ones we liked the second time, so in a few years if we do have anymore and it's a boy, we might not even like Landon as well anymore or we might like something else better and then we might have kicked ourselves for not naming her Landree like we like
d. We actually were set on Ella for a girl at the beginning of November and that was what it was going to be for a girl and then my cousin had a little girl on Nov. 7th and named her Ella, so we then re-looked at girl names all together. I do think Landree's name fits her perfect and every day I love it more and more. My mom called the other day and said the more she tells people, the more and more she likes it too! I still get mixed reactions with the name Landree, but for the most part, I get lots of compliments on it, too! OH, and something funny to add that Jason and I just discovered and hopefully Landree will not get teased. Her intials are LIQ...........if you put them together it could be "lick you", "lick" or "I like you"!! Well, that is my naming story. Next, I promise to dedicate a blog entry to miss Ryleigh Grace alone! Have a great day! Look at that perfect little ear! Oh, remember Hootie and the Blowfish, their lead singer, Darius Rucker has an album out. Good song at the bottom that Jason and I really like that he sings. Take a listen.

Two Week Check Up!
Landree had her two week check up this afternoon and what was supposed to be a 30 min visit turned into an hour and a half. Her stats are as follows.....my scale was off (must have been the clothes she was wearing because I had to totally undress her except her diaper at the clinic). Landree weighs 8 lbs. 11 oz. and continues to be about 20 inches. On Saturday, while nursing Landree, I noticed her right shoulder was swollen and when I compared her right collar bone to her left, I noticed a hard area on her right. She also got very fussy with us when Jason and I were touching it. I was glad she had her check up today, so we could get it looked at. Well, as we are walking back to our room, my Dr. is running out of the clinic to go deliver a baby at the hosp. When his nurse asks if I want to re-schedule, I show her Landree's shoulder. She then asks if I would like to see a pediatrician and I say sure. So, I switch nurses and the new Dr. checks over Landree and says, I think you are right, I think her collar bone is broken. So they took an X-ray to make sure any other bones weren't involved . Everything else is okay and I was right......she has a broken collar bone. It is not completely healed yet and will take about another couple of weeks. I guess they are fairly common with a hard delivery and of the several other things that can happen with how she came out, the broken collar bone is the "best" one (if "best" even makes sense in this situation). Then as I was making another appt., my Dr.'s nurse saw me and asked if everything was ok. I told her it was broken and then she asked if I would like to see my Dr. b/c he was back from the hosp. So, I did want to ask him some things, so I waited to see him (that was actually pretty quick). I was feeling bad because I have been moving her arm all around and getting her arm in her outfits (you know sometimes it can be difficult to get those little arms in and out of sleeves when they are so small). My Dr. was feeling bad that he didn't x-ray it while in the hosp.(He didn't because she was moving it just fine and he couldn't feel anything, so if not why put her through it). But really, there is nothing you can do for a broken collar bone anyways, other than to just be careful and let it heal on it's own. She doesn't seem to be in any pain and is moving her arm just fine, just not as much as the other arm. He also asked if she'd been fussy at all and she hasn't been, like I said before just very content......my Dr. said she just has a high tolerance for pain like her mama!!! That made me feel good. Other than that she is doing great. I was emotional today, but I think that is because my hormones are still a little whacked out. It was nice to get so many comments on how beautiful she is at the clinic also.

2 Weeks Old!

I can't believe it has been two weeks already since Landree joined the clan. She has her two week check up tomorrow, so I will have an update for you then as well. She continues to do well and finally her little cord has fallen off. I was hoping it would soon as it was beginning to stink. I actually have been using rubbing alcohol on it as she had a huge blowout last week and the poo was all over up past her belly button and down her legs, and I didn't want it to get infected. AND yes......I win the award for the first to get pood on. Jason won it with Ryleigh for both poo and pee..Haha! I'll never forget that because it was about 3 am and we both looked at each other like.................little girls can aim and their pee can fly!! It is FREEZING here today.
I think the car read 3 degrees when we went to church this morning. BRRR. I wish it would get to the 30's so at least we could play in the snow, but with it that cold, you can't even go outside for very long. Well, I am going to go hang out with Jason and the girls, not much else to report today.

Updates
The following pictures are of Landree wearing her hat that a friend of mine made for her before she left for Africa and one of Ryleigh's 2 year photos that I am not sure if anyone has seen yet. It was one of my favorites as well.
We were going to go hang out at Papa Danny's and Gramma Terri's today, however Shea and Josh are sick, so we are going to do that next weekend instead. We still haven't opened any Christmas gifts from them, so hopefully everyone is feeling better and it doesn't snow next weekend. It's okay that we are staying home anyway since the weather just started getting crappy. We went to get some stuff for the basement and when we came out of the store, we had freezing rain coming down, which will make for some slippery roads this evening. We did have some company last evening. Our friends, Josh and Amy and their six kids, made us supper and they brought it over, ate with us and just hung out. They made brisket, potatoes, salad, fruit and
brought this wonderful pie from Bakers Square over. It was fabulous. They have a little boy that is Ryleigh's age and his name is Axel. You can just imagine what his name sounds like when Ryleigh calls for him.........it had us all giggling. They even gave each other a kiss goodnight, Ryleigh got all shy and boy was he ever excited. The other catch......they also have a little boy that is 4 months old, so now instead of watching out for just Axel, we are going to have to keep an eye on Osborn as well (with Landree)! HAHA! It was a fun evening. Well, that is besides the fact that Ryleigh told Jason to "shut up" in front of them all. He was not happy and neither was she when she had to sit in a time out while everyone else got to play. She did finally stop crying and came out and apologized to Jason in front of everyone. Ryleigh has become even more of a little miss independent. She is now taking herself to the bathroom. She will even make us shut the door. She is doing good, remembering to wipe herself as well as washing her hands. The other morning, she even dressed herself. Her socks were on upside down, but she got her pajamas off and her clothes on with hardly any help from me, which was good since I was nursing Landree. She did wonderful last evening sharing all of her toys also. Landree is doing well! I weighed myself and then with her and it looks as though she is about 10 pounds now. She has her first 2 week check up on Monday, so we will see how accurate my scale is. She even lets us sleep at night. She eats around midnight, 3:30-4, then 7-8 and during the day she eats about every 2-3 hours. She is so laid back sometimes I can't get her to finish a meal....I already have a pretty good stash of milk in the freezer. But she must be doing well if she's already gained almost 2 pounds in the last two weeks and has a double chin!! I tried so hard the other day to get her to eat on the other side, that she gagged, so I have decided, she's obviously not hurting....I'll just let her eat when she wants. As long as we keep this night schedule, I am happy. Her eyes are still blue and her hair continues to be light brown with a tint of red to it, and she's not nearly as hairy as Ryleigh was. Ryleigh had (and still does) black hair on her back and her ears..like a monkey. She doesn't have the olive skin tone that Ryleigh has, I think she is going to be more fair like me. I have gotten some fun pictures of her feet and hands and my friend is going to take some pictures of her probably next week sometime, so I am excited about that. Well, I am going to get going, maybe take a little nap while Ryleigh does. Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Happy New Year!

First, I just want to wish everyone a very Happy New Year! New Years Eve was spent with Jason and the girls watching movies. We watched Madagascar with the girls and then Ryleigh hit the hay after that. Then Jason, Landree and I watched one of the Rocks movies. Like most people, I was up at midnight, however, instead of sipping some alcoholic bev, I was chugging a big glass of ice cold water and nursing Landree. Yep, I knew that is what I would be doing at midnight because that is how it has been for the last week. And..........I wouldn't have changed it for anything. Welcoming in the new year with my new
daughter was by far.....PERFECT! Today, we took Landree on her first road trip (40 min drive) and visit to Gramma Pam and Papa Kevs house. We had a wonderful dinner to ring in the new year and then watched the Huskers beat Clemson!!! GO BIG RED!!! Mom and I also got out old pictures and reminisced about the past! I have a few new year resolutions and the one that tops my list is to be hot in my bridesmaid dress in my brothe
rs wedding in July....................ok, so maybe I won't be hot, but I'd like my body back, flat abs, and toned arms!! Also, want to be a good mom and wife, as well as finding fulfillment in my job once again!
