Being happy doesn't mean everything is perfect. It means you've decided to see beyond the imperfections.

Happy Birthday Aunt Sarah!

Happy Birthday to Jason's sister, Sarah. We hope you had a wonderful birthday and enjoyed your birthday supper that we called during.

It's been fun and busy around here. Saturday, I ran (well, we will call it jogged) the 10K I signed up for before I was pregnant. I didn't walk so I am pretty pumped about that, even though my time was about 40 minutes worse than the last 10K I ran. I felt so good until Sunday morning when I woke up with sore hips, knees and calf muscles, but I am feeling great today!! No pain, no gain!! The best part about my race.............................my girls cheering me on!! The race route went right on our street and our house was the half way point (3 mile marker), and the girls attacked me in the street, yelling mommy and hugging me and running next to me. It was THE BEST, they rocked and I would have to say they are the best supporters ever. They were so darned cute too. They were still in their jammies, with their boots over top and their coats on, unzipped. SO PRECIOUS!

Saturday the girls also had a Halloween party to go to. They got to dress up in their costumes, color pumpkins, eat and play!! Lots of fun!!

Sunday was a lazy day........french toast, church, hanging out, coloring, reading, playing games, puzzles, long baths, splashing, more books, snuggles, songs, bedtime.

Today, we carved pumpkins, will hopefully get some pix up soon. The girls would not take a decent photo together for the life of me tonight. But, the pumpkins and the ones I got during are cute. Both girls gave funny looks while digging the pumpkin insides out with their hands. This week, Ryleigh has a party at school on Friday. We have a costume party on Saturday. My parents are coming over to spend the night and watch the girls and then Sunday is lots of Trick-or-Treating!!

I just have to say also, that Landree has the prettiest little voice. She is repeating all kinds of things and last evening, was copying the colors we'd point out of Ryleigh's care bears. Then we'd ask her which one was a certain color and she'd point to it, SHE LOVES BLUE. And I love hearing her say, yellow. She also knows most all of her body parts. She gets some mixed up but has been doing really good.

Have a great week!

We Got "Boo'd"!!

I was washing dishes a few nights ago while Jason and the girls were reading. All of a sudden there was a knock at the door. When I got my hands dried and got to the door there was no one there. I opened the door to find two Halloween bags at the doorstep. Inside each was a drawing pad and crayons as well as a bag of goodies for each of the girls. There was a ghost that had the word BOO written on it. I didn't know who it was from but the girls were excited. There were no directions if anything was to be done next. So, the next morning as we were leaving the neighborhood, I seen several houses with the ghost taped up on the front door. So, I taped our ghost up and then went over to my neighbor, Becca to see what was up with the bags. She told me her kiddos passed out the bags and she forgot to put directions in it with the poem. She's going to get me the poem.....it's a cute idea for Halloween. We have lots of things planned for this "scary" season. The girls have a party Saturday to go to. Then next Saturday at Ryleigh's school, there's a parking lot party called "Trunk or Treat" that sounds like fun. Then, Jason and I have a costume party we have been invited to on the 30th. We don't quite have our costumes yet, so if anyone has any great ideas for a pregnant woman...HELP! I am going with being easy this Halloween for the girls costumes, and I don't even have to buy or make anything because they both have what we need. I was going to make Ryleigh's, but she changed her mind about what she wanted to be....we'll see about next year. Next Sunday, they have trick-or-treating at my place of work, then the neighborhood. This Saturday is my 10K that I was going to run, now I have decided I am going to run/walk it since I haven't been running like I was. It should be fun (well, maybe, there's rain in the forecast now)!!

Also wanted to congratulate my cousin Matt and his wife Andi, as they just announced that baby #2 is on the way and due next June!!! So exciting!! That means within 10 months, my Grandma Zabka will add 6 great grandbabies to her family (unless we have more that will be joining "the club" here within the following months). Which means, I should also congratulate my cousin Jamee and his wife Codi who are expecting baby #1 due next May!! ( Three babies within a couple of weeks and then 3 more within 2 months)!! Crazy!! Fun!! Growing Family!!

Until next time.........

Many Thanks!!

What a busy and beautiful weekend it was!! And, what a fun past week we've had. Grandparents day at school for Ryleigh, a friends wedding, deer hunting (Jason saw 13 but only two small ones were within range, so he skipped 'em), cool but not cold weather, hiking in the woods, and free lunch today at church! ( I will leave that awful game off of here that Nebraska played......even though I still LOVE the Huskers)!!

First, I just wanted to THANK both of Ryleigh's Grandpa's for hanging out with Ryleigh at school on Friday for Grandparents Day! It sounds like all three of you had a great time. Dad and Danny, thanks so much for taking time out of your busy days and coming to Mankato to be with her, I appreciate it so much and I'm sure she will remember it forever! Heck, she's still talking about! Thanks Danny for taking pictures, just to let you know though, I was totally joking in my email, but thanks so much anyways. I don't have any of those photos to share yet, however I was able to grab a quick picture of the three of them after school!

Thank you also to mom and dad for watching the girls on Saturday evening so that Jason and I could go to the reception, dinner and dance of my friend. My friend Kristen got married to her fiance, Pat yesterday. The ceremony was beautiful, and it was so much fun. I got to boogy with one of my "besty's" on the dance floor..........always a good time. My other preggo friend was out there too, so I didn't look too funny. Thanks again mom and dad, you're the best!

Thanks to everyone else for letting me sulk about the game without sending me a "smart" text! If you want to now, I am okay with the situation, so I won't be as upset as I would have yesterday if you text me a smart-one today.........especially since Ohio State got beat by Wisconsin.

Thank you also to our friends Ryan and Ana for making the Duluth trip so fun. Thanks Ana, for getting everything set up....you were a wonderful travel agent (haha). We always have so much fun with you both. It was great to laugh so hard!!

Thank you Terri for being wonderful listener tonight and giving me the advice you did. I feel like a good mom tonight after talking to you. I appreciate your honesty and kindness and thank you for always being there for us. And, thanks for going to Target for me!! :)

Thank you Jason for being the best hubby anyone could ask for and a wonderful, patient and loving daddy to your girls. Your are amazing and every day I ask God to make me more like you in the way you are with our girls. Thank goodness you balance me. I couldn't have asked for a better soul mate!

Lastly, I thank God for my beautiful girls (who are a huge blessing in my life) and for the baby on the way. Ryleigh is learning so much, she told me yesterday she's been practicing on counting backwards and I got to hear it. She does pretty good from 8 down! She is testing our patience a lot lately with laughing when she shouldn't be and being mean to her sister, but she's got a soft heart in the end and seems to be truly sorry for her young mistakes. Landree is repeating everything we say and has been trying to tell us more and more each day. She is in love with shoes and loves these new boots I found her. In fact, she was running around in just her boots and diaper this evening. She has learned to cross her arms and give a look when she doesn't like something. It's pretty cute, I think she learned it from Ryleigh. (I found this awesome 2nd hand store for just children, it's my new favorite store. They re-sell gently used children's clothing for a wonderful price. I got name brand stuff for super cheap--cheaper than I find at garage sales--Landree was in need of some jeans, as her hand-me-downs from Ryleigh aren't working for her. I got 4 pairs of jeans, 2 pairs of boots, a dress and a sweater for $30. It's a good thing I only had 30 minutes to shop or I probably would've spent more)!! So, last picture is me at 16 weeks (a week ago):
Hope everyone has a wonderful week!!

"Funnies"

Two things to share before I forget them!!

Ryleigh is a little shy with saying "hi" to her principal lately, so I asked her, "why don't you say "hi" to Sister Mary Beth in the mornings when she says good morning to you?" Ryleigh's response: "because she is NOT my sister!!" ( I had to explain to her why her name is Sister Mary Beth--I guess I was used to this growing up since I had a great aunt who was a "Sister"--Sister Gladys)!!

Ryleigh was coloring at the counter this weekend, when I looked out the window at Jason staining the swing set. Ryleigh asked my what I was looking at and I said, "oh...............your father!" She looked out the window and said, "mommy, that's daddy not Father Wilmot, you silly girl!"

Haha!! Out of the mouths of babes!! She makes me smile!!

Not much!

Just have to say boo that the Twins aren't doing as well as I'd hoped in the postseason. The Huskers, however, were AWESOME last evening playing against the K-State Wildcats. It was an awesome game and Martinez (the QB) did much better this game than last...what can I say, he's a freshman..you live and you learn! GO BIG RED!!

I don't have to much to say tonight other than I love my girls so much as well as their daddy! They are the most amazing little girls ever and make me so happy, yes they have their moments, but so do I. I love my family so much and can't wait to add another little one. I had to post this picture of Landree and I because it is one of my favorites of her and I:

Then of course, our little entertainer ( I have more in these shoes (daddy's) and her many different poses that night, but for now, I will share this one)

It was a very warm 89 degrees here today. We are supposed to have warm weather all weekend. Since I am on call we don't have to much planned, but we are going to stain our fence and the swing set tomorrow. It seems to be to warm to go hunting. On Sunday we are going to go help Miss Lila celebrate her 2nd birthday. Should be a pleasant weekend. We went to a "pumpkin patch" last evening and found some pumpkins for all of our "upcoming event's". The girls (especially Landree) were so excited about all the pumpkins!

Ultrasound!

Today Jason and I had our first ultrasound, not usually done at this time, but I couldn't help it, I wanted to see this little baby so bad. And since my dates may not have been perfect I got the doctor to order an ultrasound! We are 15 weeks and 5 days along, giving a due date of March 26th (my original date I figured)! And for all of you wondering, there is only ONE baby in there (phew)! It is the most amazing thing to see your baby moving around, flailing about, sucking it's thumb. Seeing the heart, the kidneys, the stomach, the brain, the blood flow. The heart rate today was 151. Now for all of you thinking that it's high and that's a girl, little do you know that the girls' heart rates at this time were lower in the 130's and 140's, but we'll see! We are leaning towards another surprise, for all of you wondering that!! Why not, we've had Christmas in July, Christmas in December, why not Christmas in March.....sounds good to us! I do have to laugh however, as we were leaving Jason says to me, "it's another girl!" I ask him, "how do you know?" "Did you want to find out?" He says, "no, but I didn't see an appendage!" I told him I didn't even notice she went by that part. He said, "she did and I couldn't tell for sure, but I sure didn't see nothing hanging out!" Honestly, I am still 50/50 on what it may be. I will just be happy if it is healthy and has all of it's toes and fingers! With both girls, I had a feeling they were girls. With this one, I have not had a for sure "gut feeling" about what it is. I wouldn't be surprised if it's a girl, though, Jason is really good at making them!! The ultrasound pictures I have posted aren't the best because I took pictures of them with the camera.......I couldn't wait for them to be scanned!! :)

The Twins (baseball team) are letting me down tonight. Losing to the Yankees in the first post season game. BOOOOO. Lets go Twins. Tomorrow evening is going to be a big one for my sports teams. The Twins play the Yankees again and the Huskers play K-State. GO HUSKERS (let's hope they look better than the last time they played)!!

Happy 2nd birthday to Lila today!! We can't wait to hang out and celebrate with you on Sunday!! Hope you had a fabulous day!!!

Here is a picture of the ultrasound picture, the baby's profile:

Here is another profile picture with the baby's hand up by it's mouth, possibly sucking or trying to suck it's thumb (awww):

1st OB appointment!!

I had my first OB appointment today. Approximately 15 weeks along with a due date of around March 24th!! The best part was hearing the baby's heartbeat, which pretty much made it seem more "real" as I am, again, having a pretty easy pregnancy and just look like I am getting a beer gut! The baby's heart rate started out at 135, but got up to 150 after we woke it up! It was seriously the loudest thing I had ever heard, this kids heart is amazing! It actually sounded perfectly like, "WOW, WOW"! I could have listened to it all day! Here are a couple of pictures of me at 13 weeks. I will get a new one up this next weekend................. but for your viewing pleasure of our growing baby, these first:

Ryleigh was picked in her preschool class last Wednesday to be the shining star! She got to sit in a jeweled chair all day, got to be in front of the line and lead it all day and got to bring home Charlie. Charlie is the class pet stuffed monkey and gets to go home with the shining star and then we got to write a story in the journal about his adventures with Ryleigh, where they read it the next day in class! She took him on a bike ride and that was pretty much the coolest thing he got to do with us. I was kind of hoping we'd get him on a weekend, but oh well! Here is a picture of them riding the bike (I took pictures to put in the journal with her story):

And here's "miss talker" and "miss going potty on the potty"! Landree has been learning all kinds of new words and although sometimes one of her words sounds like another, she is TALKING!!! Yay! And, she is going pee on her potty or the big potty more and more. She goes quite a bit in the evenings right before getting in the bath or after her bath if she was wet and the mornings that she's woke up dry, she has gone pee on the potty too!! I am not pushing my luck in this department though, she is as stubborn as her mama and only does it when she wants! I am just hoping to not have two in diapers! I got my wish when Landree was a baby, hopefully I can get my wish with this baby!

Hope everyone has a great week. I have pictures to show of our wonderful, relaxing weekend in Duluth, but I am going to hit the hay right after this, so you'll have to wait!

Happy Anniversary Peggy and Perry

To Jason's mom and her hubby...hope your day was good, sorry we missed you, we were hanging out in Duluth for our anniversary get-a-way!
